Here's Where to Book Masters Week Tee Times — Eventually

Note: In view of the postponement of the Masters tournament, we are suspending our booking process for Masters Week tee times. Thank you for your understanding.

Regardless of the timing of the Masters Tournament, golf continues at Savannah Lakes! If you're interested in booking a tee time, visit our golf booking page or call 833-465-3758.

If you're headed to Augusta to take in the spectacle that is Masters Week, you're among a lucky group of golf fans. And if you're an avid golfer looking for a tee time in Augusta during Masters Week, you're probably going to be frustrated initially. But don't worry...we're here to help.

Tournament Week Golf Special - $99 per player

Savannah Lakes Village is a master-planned private golf and recreation community about 40 minutes north of metro Augusta — and no, we are not near Savannah, Georgia. We're member-focused, but guests are welcome to visit our community and play our two lakefront 18-hole golf courses, Tara and Monticello. During Masters Week, we roll out the proverbial red carpet and host guests from around the world at our courses. You may have even seen our video or our ads.

Depending on when you're reading this, there's a chance we still have room to accommodate you or your group for a Masters Week tee time. Because we are located in a rural, natural area, tee times here are only $99 per person (including green fees and cart rental). We also offer an attractive same-day replay discount for those desiring to play 36 holes across two different golf courses.

How to Book a Masters Week Tee Time

Just call our golf booking line at 833-465-3758 and you'll be routed to our Golf Operations Team. We'll confirm your reservation and accept your deposit. If it's after hours, please leave us a quick voicemail with your details and the date you want to play. Our team will reach back out to you within a couple of days, and we'll confirm your booking.

If you can't make a quick call right now, just drop your info in this Masters Week booking form. Our team will give you a call back later to confirm your reservation.

We typically reserve your time with a $100 deposit (payable by credit card over the phone), and the balance will be settled on a card the day you check in.

What's a Day Like with a Tee Time at Savannah Lakes?

First things first, we want to make sure to give you a heads-up about the golf etiquette in our community. We're a member-focused private community, and guests are welcome. Here are some guidelines to help you plan your day:

  • Appropriate golf attire is expected on the course and in the clubhouses.
  • Upon arrival, feel free to drop your bags at the bag stand.
  • Once you check in, you’ll be assigned your cart(s) from the golf shop. Our team will confirm the clubhouse hours and availability and advise you of any specials when you check in.
  • Practice balls will be on the range for you. Enjoy!
  • Our clubs and shops are cashless establishments, so please be prepared with a debit or credit card.

As you may be aware, the Southeastern weather in April can be on the unpredictable side. We've had frost delays during Masters Week in past years. We've also had other years in which we logged 90º temperatures at 9am. We'll be checking the weather forecast and making adjustments, and our Golf Operations Team will advise you of any condition-related guidelines.

Pace of play is important, and the USGA par time for our courses is approximately four hours and twenty minutes for an 18-hole round. We'll have cooler packs of drinks available for purchase before you begin, or you can pick one up at the turn. If your time is at 9am, that puts you back at the clubhouse around lunchtime. Both the Tara and the Monticello courses are equipped with full-service clubhouse restaurants for your enjoyment. We'll have some menu specials for our Masters Week guests, or you could order from our regular menu as well. Early afternoon tee times will have you finishing your round at about supper time. Whether you just want a round of refreshing cold drinks or a full meal, we would love to serve you during your time here at Savannah Lakes.

Heading Back to Augusta

As you prepare to head back to Augusta after your round and a meal, don't forget about the surrounding parks and recreation areas. You may not be up for a long hike after a round of golf on a warm day, but a drive up the scenic Highway 7 may be just the ticket. The 7-mile stretch of Highway 7 between US Highway 378 and SC Highway 81 winds along the pine trees of the Sumter National Forest and adjacent to the Little River portion of Lake Thurmond. If you're inclined to take a leisurely hike, there's also an access area for the Savannah Valley Railroad Trail on Highway 7. This trail was a railroad in its former life, so the mile walk from the Highway 7 access point to the trestle-turned-footbridge isn't strenuous at all.

Once you've had your fill of golf, food, drink and the sights available in and around Savannah Lakes Village, plug in the address of your lodging to your GPS or phone's mapping app and hop on Highway 378. You'll cross the Savannah River and then you'll be on the road for about 40-50 minutes more, depending on where you're staying. You should be back in time to rest a while or watch some of the Tournament coverage before supper.

If you've golfed at Tara or Monticello, how was it? We would love to hear your feedback. You can leave a review on our courses at GolfAdvisor.com.
